Why I hate the word Miri

Many people know that Misings take offence when they are called Miri, not Mising. Sadly, Mising community is still recorded as Miri in Indian constitution and if any Mising wants to avail "Scheduled Tribe" reservation, then he must write his community as Miri with permanent residency of the state Assam.

But why Misings take offence when called Miri? While I am not sure about others and I do not ...

Today, I passed by IG field in Bhubaneswar and came to know that that field was where Indira Gandhi held her last Public meeting on 30th Oct 1984 as Prime Minister of India. Ok, now what is the connection of that to Kulajan, SIlapathar, Assam or in that case Mising Tani ?

I heard from some reliable sources that Indira Gandhi attended Mising bane Kebang, held in Kulajan, Silapathar, in 1966 ( hmm

UNITY AND DIVERSITY IN INDIA

Few years back, while my American client came to India, we went to Goa. After few glasses of Fanny in the morning itself, both of us had terrible headache, At around 1 PM, both of us went out of our hotel rooms, looking for some medicine to kill our headache.

Mishing is part of greater Tani community and by population the largest one!
The smallest one is Lhoba with a population of 2300 and they live in China ( Tibet). Here is introduction about Lhoba in I got in Orkut Community. It claims they are Idu Mishimi of China!
