Gana Shakti alliance with AGP

According to recent news, AGP will not field its candidate in Jonai and Majuli and will support Gana Shakti candidate. Gana Shakti is a party led by Jonai MLA Bhuabn Pegu.

As Assam assembly election is drawing near, I thought, I would share few political discussions I had recently in Mising areas.

One important observation by almost all Mising people I met, was While Bodos have almost 15 assembly seats in Assam, Misings can win paltry 4 seats. They are

1. Jonai
2. Dhemaji
3. Dhakuakhana
4. Majuli

Incidentally, all are reserved seats as well as comes under Lakhim...

1. A Mising person in Dhemaji decided to build a RCC building for himself after he got money from his road contract. He had a truck. He went to River Brahmaputra and and filled up his truck full of sands and drove back. Some forest official stopped his truck and explained that he can not take sands just like that.
